So, this summer, keep a little check on your food and water intake and conquer summer. Since it’s summer season, the sweat can’t be prevented. But amidst all, you are not gonna lose your refreshed and lively charm for sure. Here are the things you should have in your diet to avoid dehydration.
Water : As we all know, our body loses water in the form of sweat. It’s always important to keep a check on your fluid intake. Even if you are consuming the fluid and still finding yourself tired, check the color of urine. Remember, urine color is pale yellow not dark yellow. So if the color changes, it definitely means your body isn’t getting adequate liquid. Bring more.
Glucose water: If you are taking water and the urine color doesn’t look dark, still you are feeling drained, then one of the possible reasons is that you are losing minerals. Through sweating and perspiration, we not only lose fluid but also we lose glucose and some vital minerals like sodium and potassium. Always try to carry a glucose water bottle whenever you are going to go outside or having strenuous work to do like exercise. Since the drink contains salt and glucose along with water, it keeps your energy intact as it helps you to restore what you are losing during sweating.
Watermelon: It is one of those fruits which keeps your body hydrated. The fluid is enriched with all the ingredients that is extremely effective to keep your body hydrated, ionized and the skin glowing.
Mix Fruit Juice or Mocktails: Fruit Juice or mocktails could be other tasty drink options to keep yourself hydrated. It is a good fluid and minerals supplement to your body. Don’t turn your mocktails or cocktail though as alcohol is extremely dehydrating.
Coconut water : Enriched with sodium, this naturally cool water maintains your body’s electrolytic balance wonderfully. Coconut water is the best drink you can have under the sun. It’s cold, it’s energizing and it’s tasty.
Smoothie: Fun and smart drink. An awesome way to keep your cool and beat the heat. While you have it, don’t forget to take a picture and share on Instagram. People love to see the pictures of smoothie.
Orange juice: High in potassium, orange juice helps in replenishing the water and vital minerals what we are losing in summer heat. It’s an incredible source to get fluid and much required minerals.
Herbal Tea: Whereas the herbs become the source of natural ingredients which keep our body hydrated, the caffeine’s presence keep you revitalized.
Soup: The liquid form of this food supplies water to your body and the presence of veggies and salt look after the other requirements of your body such as sodium and other minerals.
Tea and coffee : Even though the presence of caffeine in tea and coffee has diuretic effect but it doesn’t discount the fluid in them. So if you don’t have any other fluid source, this could be your last rescue option.
Enjoy summer and stay fresh despite the heat.
