a glance at the outfits seen in met gala 2016 part 2 – Met Ball
Still can’t come out of the wonderful chemistry that we saw in Met Gala 2016 – Manus x Machina . Hence, here is a glance at the outfits seen in Met Gala 2016 part 2 .
Lily Rose Depp’s crystal embellished Chanel gown with furry details looked so chic considering the theme.
Karlie Kloss and Margot Robbie looked like the style twins when they appeared in their white cutout long dresses. But Karlie Kloss’s Brandon Maxwell dress had more smart cutout design than Margot’s Calvin Klein outfit.
Jessica Chastein’s blue Prada gown was pretty but I somehow couldn’t connect it with the theme.
Alessandra Ambrosio’s Balmain gown was simply stunning. The full sleeve crochet like work created shining & magical vibe. Another top piece from Balmain. The wide silver metallic belt looked lovely too.
Zoe Saldana’s Dolce & Gabbana’s peacock feather gown was a visionary delight. This was a fantastic example of creativity.
Selena Gomez couldn’t win my heart with her white polka dot dress, leather waistcoat and heeled booties. The objective behind this combination went obscure.
Claire Danes wore an illuminated Zac Posen ball gown. The dress makes one look like a princess but well, the concept makes it a futuristic one too.
Cindy Crawford’s wonderful Balmain silver metallic dress with shoulder cutouts just looked ravishing and it was perfect for the Met Gala 2016 theme too.
Dacota Fanning’s Nina Ricci dress looked it had slight fitting issues. The shimmery details in black looked ok considering the Met Ball theme but it looked too loose and the appeal slipped.
Alexa Chung’s jumpsuit was smart but the ensemble looked too flashy to me.
Kate Bossworth’s crafty Dolce & Gabbana piece looked mesmerizing. The ensemble at the top had its robotic appeal whereas the beige colored bottom part looked more artistic in thread handicraft.
Emily Ratajkowski’s Prabal Gurung dress was a stupendous piece. Its wonderful backless details, wisely chosen black & white color and the addition of jewels at the side looked sophisticated in a Manus X Machina Met Gala 2016 theme.
Lady Gaga just spoilt the show with her choice of outfit. Let alone her trial to seek attention, her Versace metallic jacket and see through leggings just turned me off. Oh yes, those giant heel shoes were not worth talking either.
Olivia Wilde wore a halter neck dress with metallic details on the dress and also around the neck. It looked elegant. The perpetually trendy black colored Michael Kors dress with this ensemble looked delightful.
Mackenzie Davis’s Altuzzara dress was totally based on the theme. The flowy details on a metallic dress points out a nice conceptualization but it could have been executed a little differently.
Amy Schumer’s Alexander Wang dress showed vibrant red color in a theme where silver metallic details predominantly ruled. The most important part was that the color red smartly caught the theme with its chic and futuristic cutout design.
Amber Valetta’s H&M dress had popped out nicely during this Met Gala 2016. The dress had its poise and futuristic appeal together in right place.
Lily Aldridge’s golden Michael Kors gown in cutout details made her look like an angel there too. The outfit complimented the VS angel’s lean shape so incredibly.
Nicki Minaj‘s custom Moschino outfit had its nasty vibe all throughout. From the signature style Moschino buckle to the transparent black texture – everything combined successfully to provide a next-gen feeling.
Katie Holmes looked pretty but her navy dress didn’t look charming to me. It was too flat and dull.
Emma Watson‘s Calvin Klein black and white long train gown looked extremely elegant but it had very little to do with ‘tech’ vibe.
Rita Ora‘s Vera Wang silver colored feather gown with a long train looked mesmerizing. I somehow find this concept of fixing feather and metallic texture really innovative. She looked gorgeous at Met Ball 2016.
Ciara looked totally robotic. Be it her H&M cage dress with silver and crystal studs to her hairdo- everything looked on point and as per Met Gala theme.
Poppy Delevingne‘s Marchesa dress showed the execution of royal and metallic ensemble. The jeweled and shimmery detailing made it look blingy and gorgeous.
Liu Wen’s fish scale and fishnet textured outfit looked glam and futuristic. The outfit carried out the concept of the theme effortlessly.
Anna Ewers glittery feathery Hugo Boss dress looked like a silver metallic faux fur piece. An appealing concoction to me.
Anna Wintour’s long and bodycon dress with crystal embellishment and fringes looked pretty ravishing. It elegantly maintained the Manus x Machina theme.
